Things I learned: pareidolia isn't just seeing faces where they don't exist. It's a name for seeing any pattern that isn't really there. However, it's most commonly associated with seeing faces.

I always chalked that up to the simple face structure when seeing faces in things....I know it is not a real human face but it looks like a face and that is sorta cool... as for gambling I know I will lose so I do not gamble.

Humans have many inbuilt simplifications that lead us astray. Pareidolia is one, as is the Gambler's Fallacy. These and others are why Science is so powerful; it provides a system for finding the truth despite human error.
